Business person of the month

Richard Ballard has secured himself an award after being nominated by Bristol Evening Post readers.

Richard started his whole operation with £3000 from the Prince's Trust. Today his ethical stance and environmental approach to manufacturing is beginning to receive wide recognition. He was presented with a trophy (piece of Bristol Blue Glass) by Jason Nixon at a celebration lunch. The judges commented that "Made on Earth were a fine example of how enterprising people were able to turn a leisure interest or hobby into a successful business".
